As a teacher with almost a decade of experience and a mother of three, I will bring strong, necessary experience to the Nebraska State Board of Education.

  • Student success. Student success is my top priority. Students deserve high quality, research based, effective resources to be successful. I am focused on ensuring students are supported equitably and with respect, and are provided a personalized education. Student success ripples out and creates positive changes in our communities and state.
  • Teacher support. I aim to support teachers. It is imperative to recruit, develop, and retain high quality teachers in our schools, especially in the face of a teacher shortage crisis. As a teacher myself, I know what is important to teachers and am well suited to be a voice for the profession on the State Board.
  • Collaboration. Lastly, as a current teacher and parent of a student in Lincoln Public Schools, I understand the importance of dialogue and responsiveness from elected leaders. I will seek feedback and conversation from community members to take back and create action in the Board. Collaboration between the community and the Board promotes student and teacher success.
